James McClain
Even from the earliest days of remembrance, James McClain has had a consuming passion for art. Having been raised in the sign industry, where almost all aspects of visual arts were exposed to him, layout, fabrication, and installation were all skills that James was able to easily develop. These skills and an "overactive imagination" allows him to produce almost anything that he can visualize. An avid hiking enthusiast, James is heavily influenced by nature which is evidenced in the subject matter of many of his pieces. Although metal sculpture is his primary medium, James also uses woods, ceramics, plastics, glass and rock * virtually anything he can get his hands on. Even neon is introduced into some of his pieces. Many of his unique pieces are formed from found objects which can lead to some pretty exciting creations.
