Gil Garcia
Gil’s paintings include contemporary, surreal and impressionistic styles featured in landscapes, portraiture and still life.

Gil comes from a family of artists, so he has always had art in his life. For 25 years, his form of art was expressed through his drawings as a restaurant designer. It wasn’t until 1992, influenced by Leonard Niemoy’s play “Vincent”, that he purchased his first oils and brushes.

By 1999, he exhibited at the California State Fair and since has displayed at many local venues in Lodi and Stockton.

Gil was the official portrait artist of the Sacramento Kings Basketball Team for the 2002/2003 Western Conference Championship season, winning the commission over Leroy Nieman.
